Simple and without unnecessary decorations - a recipe for a timeless arrangement?

We had wall units and fold-out sofa beds, which, although they were supposed to be timeless, today rather evoke a nostalgic smile on the face. Many people who decorate an interior often face this fear. What if the interior we arrange goes out of fashion within a few years? Simplicity is a great way to be timeless. But what to do to make such an arrangement not boring? We reveal a recipe for an interior that will stand the test of time.

The magic of timeless colors

White, gray and beige are undoubtedly one of the most popular colors in interiors. Their neutrality is neither overwhelming nor boring, it is an excellent basis for further experiments. When choosing a paint for a wall, lounge furniture or the colors of cabinets, it is better to choose one of the above colors. Such color minimalism is very characteristic, for example for a functional scandi. Scandinavian atmosphere can become a real source of inspiration for everyone who wants the arrangement to be timeless.

Convenience above all

When arranging a living room, we often hesitate between elegant sofas and those less decorative, but comfortable. When looking for lounge furniture that will stay with us for years, it is definitely better to choose the ones that are really comfortable. A soft, deep sofa or armchair is a favorite place of many household members. It should encourage relaxation and not irritate with too low backrest or difficult to clean material.

Accessories - our ace up the sleeve

When the base of the interior is ready, it's time to think about the accessories that complement the arrangement. If we choose the dominant colors well, then at this stage we can go crazy at will. It is worth choosing one or two intense color accents. Everything in gray or white may turn out to be too conservative, while breaking it with red or emerald can change the living room beyond recognition. We don't have to worry about passing fashion. Colors textiles, accessories in the form of photo frames or designer lampshades can be replaced instantly as soon as we get bored. However, it is better not to overdo it with the number of decorations. Better to stick to the rule the less the better.

Decorative mirrors or lamps? Yes but…

Here the principle of minimalism once again applies. Lamps or decorative mirrors should definitely not be noticeable. Simple shapes, delicate colors and timeless materials (for example metal) are three distinguishing features that should be followed. Instead of the richly decorated and patterned ones, it is better to choose simple designer lampshades that can be easily replaced if necessary.
Minimalistic, comfortable, in subdued colors - this is what a solid base for a timeless interior looks like. The small amount of accessories and patterns makes this arrangement stand the test of time. You can easily diversify it, changing the face of the interior thanks to accessories. So simple, without unnecessary decorations and ecological at the same time.
