The art of living ... The challenge posed by the global pandemic consists of more questions than answers. It seems that at every level: from leaders of great powers and managers of large corporations to anonymous individuals - we are all considering what the post-pandemic world will be like, what lessons has mankind drawn from this unexpected XNUMXst century catastrophe?
Looking from the perspective interior design lock-down has certainly changed a lot. Undoubtedly, it made people aware of the importance of the immediate surroundings. After centuries of focusing on the progress of civilization and attempts to conquer the cosmos, man has returned to his "cave". Paradoxically, it is not a further expansion, but ordinary everyday life has gained its rightful place in the hierarchy of importance. As in Dutch painting, objects around us revealed hidden meanings. We started to notice their lack or excess, and to look for others who would bring new content, provide positive experiences, better meet our needs and symbolically define our identity.

Redirecting attention from the outside world to the closest world - from "outdoors" to "indoors". So from what is outside, to what is happening in our four walls. In a simple market reaction, it resulted in large-scale renovations of apartments and houses. The construction boom and the boom of renovation companies are the aftermath of pandemic restrictions and recommendations regarding social distance. The market also recorded a very large increase works of art.

Art inspires.
The journey from reality to abstraction frees you from the burden of reality, reveals other areas of interest, is an expression of individualism and a declaration of aesthetic distinctiveness. It provides higher sensations, it is sometimes a symbol of status. A well-selected one is a great capital investment, which is of great importance in turbulent times. It can be a whim that we can afford, a fantasy that we can fulfill, something immaterial that turns into matter. Finally there is Interior decoration, adapted to our individual preferences, which we can please the eye - every day and for many years anew.

If Pope Julius II had not commissioned Michelangelo to decorate the walls of his "office", the most famous frescoes in the history of art in the Sistine Chapel would not have been created. The prestige that accompanies such orders translates into a positive perception of the brand. As in the past, both private individuals and institutions order paintings and decorations to their seats and homes.

Working with interior design matter and observing this post-pandemic need, we launched a new service. At BBHome, apart from design and art from the so-called catalog, you can buy it for several months paintings painted to order. The execution of orders includes cooperation with the client: an interview regarding aesthetic preferences, defining the format, colors and nature of the work, and then individual contact during the execution of the order. The fun that accompanies it, the sense of community, conversations with customers that would never take place during "normal shopping" is the discovery of a new, better reality. From this perspective, "New Normal" seems to be more beautiful and more valuable than the old world rushing in an unknown direction without reflection.
