Interior designer

Interior designer.

There is a saying that the first house is built for the enemy, the second for the friend, and only the third for oneself. It shows that "building" is learning from mistakes, the learning curve is long and without victims there is no success. So why, instead of struggling with the topic of the march, we don't hire a specialist?

Below are the pros and cons of the model popular in Poland:
I am the Hero of My Home and I will do it myself

Time is money

The advantage of the Do It Yourself model seems obvious - we do not spend money for work done on our own. We do not have to reckon with anyone's opinion, of course, no one is questioning our choices and no one is questioning our tastes. The works are carried out in stages, depending on our capabilities and cash inflow. However, we must take into account the fact that in this model the process is long ... and even longer ... Without the external motivation of the hired professional, it may take ... to start and finish the work on the dates provided for in the contract. indefinitely. Dozens of decisions for every inch of square apartment, then project management - cost estimates, tender contests, placing orders, logistics, organization of contractors' work, commissioning, complaints, etc. take a lot of time. Time that we could spend on working and earning money as we know it.

Success has many Fathers and failure is an Orphan
The prospect of receiving an Oscar for the renovation is very tempting. By dealing with the topic ourselves, we have a chance to shine. In the eyes of the imagination, we see ourselves when we collect compliments from guests on a housewarming party. Is this scenario likely to come true? A carousel of unknown products, a group of foreign performers who have to be accounted for while going crazy covid prices, delivery delays and competency disputes are only part of the stress that has to be faced in this job. There is no need to hide - the industry - especially nowadays is not easy. You have to earn a lot of work for a happy end, and all responsibility rests on us. What if we get it wrong? Are we willing to pay for our mistakes and do some work again? Or will we be forced to look at our own mistakes for years?

A sketch about Pole from Kabaret Starszych Panów ("what is this tube for, Johnny?"), Although it is still funny, has lost its relevance. Gone are the days when the investor showed a specialist a place on the wall where he wanted to have it lamp, and this one marked with a pencil and mounted a light bulb. Without Auto Cada plans and detailed industry descriptions, no professional team will take up the job. Renovation and construction contracts are not concluded for the so-called "mug", therefore the warranty, guarantee and copyrights have become a standard contract for the performance of a service.

My Home is My Stronghold

Interior design in the developer's standard it is a piece of cake compared to the renovation of the existing space. Changing the functional system is not easy when we have been emotionally connected with the place of residence for many years. Modification of styling or equipment also evokes violent feelings. And how many household members are there…. so many sentences. To avoid conflict in the family, an outsider's voice is useful. New technologies are also helpful. Expertise in the field of design translated into the language of a computer can certainly bring spectacular results.

Drawings of possible layouts and functions, "mood boards" - that is, color and material combinations, and finally three-dimensional "renders" where we can see the virtual appearance of our interior in various options - it is something like a "magic wand". Changing the parameters of the "wand" allows for any modification of design assumptions without real-world risk costs.

Of course, the benefits of such cooperation justify the payment of a fee to a professional who can not only create a "tailor-made" house of our dreams, but also take us into a wonderful game of imagination. A space compatible with our temperament and taste means a higher quality of life and better well-being. And this is priceless ...
