Apartment in Lake District

Project of a weekend apartment by the lake

The main goal was to create a cozy interior in a modern apartment building overlooking the lake. The apartment has been designed in a weekend style, referring to the aesthetics of the Riviera Maison. Rustic elements, such as beamed ceilings or the facade of the fireplace, are purely decorative, non-functional.

Cement floor tiles in halls and bathrooms, white wiped wood intertwined with the grays of natural linen and cotton. The blues and mustard color complement the subdued, friendly color range of the equipment. The decorations are dominated by marine elements, furniture and lighting in the Hampton style. This comfortable apartment for a family with two children and a guest room is an illusion of interior in a detached house with all the comforts of living in a building with a safe staircase and closed parking. This formula assumes that the irregular mode of visits and unequal time of its use is not an obstacle for investors, does not require supervision and does not create problems with property management.

The living room open to the kitchen and the breakfast room is a common space, the double-leaf glazed door additionally opens it to the entrance hall with a comfortable wardrobe, and the balcony doors lead to the terrace from which you can admire the spectacular sunsets. Opening both pairs of doors increases the area of the living room by half. In this part, the parents' space is separated - a bedroom with a bathroom, and on the other side of the entrance hall, a children's room, a guest room and a guest bathroom.
