Symmetry ... Simple means of expression, not necessarily high budget and consistency.
Harmony, peace, balance, purity of thoughts, clarity of gaze. A dream state of mind for most of us, constantly rushing through the hurdles of life….
This somewhat philosophical beginning is an introduction to simple counseling 🙂 Below are some examples of “how to live?”… Indoors, of course. I do not go out into the broader waters of philosophy. I'll drop something from my own yard.

Various colors and forms
upholstered chairs arranged symmetrically around the dining room table, they look planned. There is no feeling of chaos or clutter, on the contrary - the contrasting shapes and fabrics do not interfere with each other and balance each other.

Symmetry (plus a black and white set of dramatic measures, my favorite, as you know) is a way of "cheap" claptrap in the positive sense of the word. In the photo, black and white stripes on the wall (you can play a room painter in your free time) and a black strip in the middle of the sofa perfectly organize a part of this room. The centrally hung illustration, two small tables and two identical decorations on both sides of the sofa create a perfect corner for an afternoon rest. We sit down centrally on sofieso as not to destroy this perfect composition.

A collection of favorite graphics, photographs, travel souvenirs and other wall decorations hung in the same frames around the picture placed centrally above the sofa, facilitates the reception of these often different, incongruous elements. The group on the wall, of course, has a counterpart in the decorations on the tables placed symmetrically in front of and on both sides of the sofa.

Another example of a well-thought-out order are large sofas placed opposite to each other, the axiality of this arrangement is emphasized by a carpet, a cabinet with a collection of eclectic decorations, windows with curtains,
pictures and works of art on opposite walls.

Regardless of what element we build the scenery of our room, symmetry will help us find a reference point, axis, point, object, "eye catcher" - the main element thanks to which we will not get lost in the interior. Certainly, our intuition will tell us whether it is a fireplace, sofa or a communication route that we should follow. The symmetrically placed object will also tell us that this is the end of the road, the destination we have reached.

Symmetry is nowadays a "must have" of any interior. I admire the brave who, in spite of the human need for security, experiment with asymmetry, providing themselves and others with strong impressions. You can feel how great the sense of danger is caused by the lack of symmetry while visiting a masterpiece of architectural illusion - the Jewish Museum in Berlin by the famous architect Daniel Liebeskind. But that's a completely different story.
