Urban Ethno

Urban Ethno.
We strive for the big world, we tear down the old ones, we build new ones, we buy Maybachs, designer clothes, mansions, expensive furniture, a little for ourselves and a little for show, which 10 years ago would have been perfectly fine. Behind our backs ... quietly ... a new generation grew, status symbols changed, and with it the aesthetics and perception of luxury ...
Translating into the language of interior design a new quality of the news of the end of the "Glitz & Glamor" era - shiny polishes, mirror surfaces and crystal pendants of the "New York" style. An example of the new prestige is the seemingly modest styling of the SoHo House top hotel and private club in Berlin, where a year ago I was invited to lunch by my progressive German friend. This historic building, with its inglorious past (the former seat of the Stasi), has gained a new lease of life thanks to the artistic cooperation of Susie Atkinson, Tim Boyd and Alex Michaelis. The successful marriage of raw Bauhaus architecture with unpretentious interior design, embellished with contemporary art, throws a bridge over generations, creating a completely new quality on the map of cosmopolitan Berlin.
The new positive hero is a Contemporary Nomad, a traveler aware of the diversity of the world, who values luxury, not having the features of new wealth. Its Comfort zone is shaped by the lack of visible logos of well-known brands, a niche style that combines the urban "vibe" with "green awareness".
New life-style dictates new trends-locations in the centers of large metropolises. The skyscraper designed by Daniel Libeskind at Złota 44 in Warsaw meets all the criteria of a new lifestyle. Including a club chill-out zone, a swimming pool and a sky deck overlooking native scyscrapers. Inspired by Berlin, for the show apartments on the 38th floor, I proposed a styling in a similar spirit. The space suspended between heaven and earth, the auditorium for everyday spectacles of sunrise and sunset, is an ideal haven for a XNUMXst century traveler. Furniture by the Italian brand Minotti and our hits from BBHome, mixed with vintage design and objects from far away. Tibetan bride from Steve McCurry's portrait in contemporary jacquard, Monstera leaves in smoky glass of Danish design…. and… the whole world at your feet…. is this what the New Beauty looks like? Judge for yourself ...

🙂 BTW. Daniel Libeskind, during his last visit to Warsaw, when he received the award of the Capital City of Warsaw from Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, lived in an apartment arranged by BBHome Design. The Master's compliment regarding the arrangement and design of the Apartment gave me great pleasure.
